Moores Garden Centre is a privately owned garden centre that has grown in recent years from a small nursery into a large commercial site with café and every type of bedding plant, shrubs, garden tools, etc. Now run by the 3rd generation, Moore’s has been established for over 50 years.
The Installation Brief
Quite simply, some atmosphere needed creating. It’s relied on a small radio up to now, but the owners wanted to create much more of an experience for it’s customers. When we first visited, we also suggested that they may want to do announcements of offers, seasonal opening times, etc. During this conversation, more ideas came up, about doing workshops and product presentations in the café, or the outside area
The Solution
Having listened to the basic requirements, we then set out to put our other commercial suggestions together. We decided that the main nursery orangery type area, which covered a vast space, would be best served by 4 speakers per section (4 main sections), which were connected back to a 100 volt line Adastra single channel amplifier. Predominantly only one music source was required, so no zoning requirements here. The speakers of choice were Adastra’s BC series which are excellent value for a background system.

After accepting the quotation, I then arranged a date for the installation and couldn’t believe when Mick said it would just take only 2 days. I was expecting a week! It’s transformed the place, we just now argue over what playlists to play!
