About The Venue

Designed and Built as a luxury family home in the mid 19th Century, becoming a spa in the mid 1990’s.Set in over 30 acres of woodland and lakes, Hoar Cross truly is a luxury escape featuring Spa facilities and treatments, a hair and beauty salon, wedding, banquet and corporate facilities as well as luxury hotel rooms.

The Installation Brief

Our hotel av install brief was focused around the leisure and fitness complex. This already had varied speakers and line mixer / amplifiers installed. Not everything was working as it should and there were areas where extra speakers were required. Blue Tooth connectivity was also required. Control to the various fitness studios were required; currently the control was from one central point. Sometimes the instructors would use the pull-along type portable PA systems which are not always convenient. The instructors also required good reliable head worn microphones.

The Solution

We replaced the current mixer amplifier with multiple units from the Adastra RM range. These varied in output size, ranging from 60 watts to 240 watts depending how many speakers were required within the area. These gave far greater flexibility and control for the user. We used a quantity of Apart Audio CM series ceiling speakers to supplement the existing speakers, which worked fine when tested on site by our installer. An Adastra AD400 CD / multi media player was also installed. We installed a Blue Tooth wall plate for wireless capability. Finally, we opted to supply Shure BLX wireless microphone systems with belt-worn transmitters. The Shure SM31FH headset microphones were supplied for their excellent moisture repellent construction, making them the ideal choice in a fitness environment with high humidity.
