Listers are a chain of main dealer and used car and commercial vehicle showrooms that have branches across the UK. Their main dealerships have many world-leading brands including Cupra, Audi, VW, Toyota, Honda, Jaguar LandRover, Lexus, Mini, to name but a few. The branches are predominantly West Midlands-based, however, showrooms stretch as far north as Hull over to the East with Grimsby and Boston, and down to Bristol and many major towns and cities in between.
The Installation Brief
After an initial contact enquiry from their property manager a visit was made to a number of their prime locations in Worcester, Gloucester and Coventry to discuss their requirements. Over the years the Listers group have acquired a variety of sites and the audio within the showrooms has varied greatly with some having none at all. Listers recognise the importance of audio within the showrooms and have a plan to standardise this across all of the sites over a period of time.
Apart from some requiring just general maintenance to existing systems, a number of sites are going through complete showroom refits as Listers Group and their various Car Showrooms include more electric vehicle brands within their portfolio, such as Cupra.
The Solution
The simple answer is, there isn’t one! Due to the variance of audio installed across the branches, our brief is to maintain each site as and when required. This maybe from a complete refit of mixer amplifier and colour matched ceiling speakers for the brand new Cupra car showroom in Worcester, to a simple wall panel control replacement in Droitwich or Stratford upon Avon. Often, it’s a breakdown of the audio feed into the system. In other words, full maintenance of anything to do with keeping the audio functioning across all of the showrooms, all 50 plus of them!
”From the initial site meeting with Mick and their subsequent work across numerous car showroom sites, we feel that we have an audio partner that we can rely on to get the job done with one simple call. It’s important that we have partners like this, so we can get on with our main focus selling vehicles. They will go the extra mile also. For example at a recent new Cupra showroom refit, the colour brief changed and although we’d ordered white ceiling speakers, the tiles were changed to a specific shade of grey. MGI installer Ryan immediately found the RAL (a universal colour code system created in Germany) and tracked down the exact colour in a spray can and sprayed the speakers to match the ceiling! That’s what I call service!
