A family run caravan park on the east coast consisting of privately owned Statics and tourers. The site club offers live entertainment, karaoke, bingo and other social activities.
The Installation Brief
Consisting of 4 rooms. The main bar, the family room, the pool room and the conservatory. It’s on the first floor. There are regular live entertainment nights with visiting artistes. All bring their own equipment to the venue, which isn’t always convenient at busy times. A system was required to cope with artistes to plug into, yet consist of compact speakers. The karaoke equipment needed to be plugged into it and new radio microphones were required along with some basic stage lighting
The Solution
We installed 5 x Electrovoice (EV) ZX1-90 full range 8” speakers around the various bars. The main bar area accommodated the small stage, on which we installed a Dynacord CMS600 mixing desk for the entertainers and karaoke to use. The visiting artistes now just needed to bring their play-back source and microphone. A Shure BLX288 twin system with SM58 wireless microphones was also supplied. We also installed 2 x Apart-Audio CM series ceiling speakers in the toilets and an Apart-Audio Ovo5 speaker to cover the downstairs reception area. The complete system was powered with Yamaha PX series power amplifiers within built in processing, which was useful to add limiting to the various areas. Chauvet Core par40 lighting was used for the stage.

The system works and sounds great and I don’t have customers complaining that it’s too loud or that they can’t hear it in the other rooms. It’s perfectly balanced and takes up hardly any room. A really neat and professional job.
