Restaurant and Bar Sound and Lighting Installation Nottingham

About The Venue

Located in the heart of Nottingham’s historic lace market, Paris is a contemporary and stylish bar, Inspired by the court yards of Paris, with tree lined dining room.

The Installation Brief

Split into 3 rooms. The dining area is at the rear of the building and the front 2 bar areas entice customers in from the busy street. The music to the front of the building needs to be able to cope with reasonable volume levels when necessary. The restaurant area, although featuring the same stylish music needed to be there just to add the ambience as much as anything. The speakers in this area needed to be heard and not seen.

The Solution

The 2 bar areas are quite small with low ceilings, so speakers in this area had to perform well from a small unit. We opted for the Apart-Audio Mask6 series. 4 were installed in each area. These were powered by the Yamaha PX series amplifiers. It is important that we install amplification that has processing capabilities, so we can set certain parameters for speaker protection. For the restaurant area we installed 4 x Apart-Audio CM series ceiling speakers, plus 2 x Ceiling subs. The subs add the warmth and bass that ceiling speakers lack. They also helps preserve the main speakers due to the client not requiring to try and turn the bass up when the ambient noise levels rise. Because the music input was common throughout, we installed an Adastra ML series Line mixer with Blue tooth capabilities for wireless connection from smart phone or tablet. The output of this was split to enable separate volume control via the amplifiers in each area.

I run restaurants and have no idea about sound systems! I needed a solution based on someone listening to my requirements and turning them into reality, as I do with every aspect of my vision. Music Gear Installations team got this spot on. I knew from the first meeting that I could leave it to them. I like working with companies like that.
